Welcome

Welcome to my Homepage. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Economics Department at the University of Alabama. I have successfully proposed my dissertation entitled "Immigration and Income Inequality and Stochastic Dominance: An Empirical Study of Immigrants in the United States," which is ready for the final defense.

I am interested in Immigration and International Labor Movements, Income Distribution and Inequality, Poverty, Terrorism, Time Series Econometrics and Applied Econometrics.

The title of my job market paper is ``Income Distribution and Determinants of Income Inequality of Immigrants in the United States.'' The paper shows the distributional differences between the immigrants and the U.S. citizens while examining the determinants of income inequalities of immigrant groups using a wide array of measures.

I am currently a RA for Dr. Gary Hoover. and we are working on two papers related to income inequality of racial and gender groups in the United States.

I will be on the job market this year, seeking an academic position in Economics starting from August, 2009. I am available for interviews during SEA Meeting in D.C. on November 2008 and ASSA Meeting in San Francisco on January 2009.
