Careers and Internships

Grades are just the beginning. In today's fast-changing and demanding job market, employers look for graduates with a head start. Training and experience ease the burden of bringing in a new hire, and most employers want graduates who have faced real-world situations and know what is required to overcome them. Furthermore, the interns a business trains are more likely to be its future employees. 

Culverhouse internships let students apply their experience to create a competitive edge while performing the day-to-day endeavors of enterprise. Students learn to incorporate and execute concepts taught in the classroom, therefore increasing their value to future employers and to themselves.

The Career Center at Culverhouse

The Career Center at Culverhouse is an extension of The University of Alabama Career Center located in 250 Bidgood Hall. Career advisors are available for undergraduate student advising appointments, group class sessions and evaluations. Meetings with career center advisors can be made by appointment or walk-in.
