Small Business Development Center Network at The University of Alabama

Since its beginning in 1981, the SBDC at the University of Alabama has contributed to the economic vitality of this state by helping Alabamians start new businesses, grow existing companies, and generate sales and jobs.  This Center is part of the nationwide Association of Small Business Development Centers, the most comprehensive small business assistance network in the United States and its territories.

The SBDC is available to assist aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas in businesses, help small firms with expansion, and can provide information that a business needs to make critical decisions.

SBDC services are free and include one-on-one counseling, a research library, government procurement assistance, technology assistance, workshops, and conferences.

The SBDC at the University of Alabama is a member of the Alabama Small Business Development Center Network, an accredited member of the Association of Small Business Development Centers.
