- Dr. Mobbs is currently a member of the Financial Management Association, the American Finance Association, and the Society of Empirical Legal Studies. His paper "Are All Inside Directors the Same? CEO Entrenchment or Board Enhancement" received the distinguished Ph.D. Paper Award at the Academy of Economics and Finance 35th Annual Meeting.
Before joining academia, he served 4 years with the United States Air Force as a Global Positioning System satellite analyst, held various positions with the Procter & Gamble Corp. and was a financial analyst in the Corporate Financial Planning group of the FedEx Corp.
