Dr. Halbesleben has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal
articles in such outlets as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, Health Care Management Review, Medical Care, Organizational Dynamics, and Leadership Quarterly. He has also authored three books about stress and burnout in the health care industry.
He is an associate editor for the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business & Psychology, and Journal of Management History. In addition, his research has been funded by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He serves on the board of directors for the Southern Management Association (2010-2013) and is a member of the Academy of Management, Society of Occupational Health Psychology and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
