- Dr. Mittenthal is an active member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS), and the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). As a faculty adviser for Alabama Productivity Center projects, Dr. Mittenthal applies his expertise to real-world, practical problems, including work with Mercedes-Benz U.S. International. In addition to serving as a referee for scholarly journals, including Operations Research, Naval Research Logistics, European Journal of Operational Research and International Transactions in Operational Research, he is a member of the editorial board for Computers and Operations Research. Dr. Mittenthal is the author or co-author of more than 20 refereed journal articles in these and other publications.
