Culverhouse grad Marillyn Hewson named president of Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego

BETHESDA, Md., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ — Lockheed Martin Corp.(NYSE:LMT)today announced the appointment of UA graduate Marillyn A. Hewson as president of Lockheed Martin Systems Integration-Owego, effective September 1, 2008. She succeeds Frank C. Cowles Named College Career Consultant

Susan Cowles has joined the business school as a senior career consultant. “Susan has solid experience in working with the business community and the many organizations that recruit on campus each year,” said Linda Johnson, director of employer development and relations. Cowles formerly was assistant director for operations and technology at the UA Career Center. She has worked for the University for seven years. She received her undergraduate degree from Sweet Briar College and her M.B.A. from Troy University.

McManus To Serve As PARCA President

James T. McManus II, chairman and chief executive officer of Energen, was elected president of the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA). He will also act as chairman of PARCA’s executive committee. McManus received is bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Culverhouse School of Accountancy in 1982. Read More

UA Fundraising Drive Hits Goal; College at 79 Percent
