UA Marketing Department Hosts First Annual Sales Opportunity and Career Fair

2:47 pm, October 16th, 2007

For the first time ever, UA hosted a Sales Opportunity and Career Fair on October 3, 2007. Some 30 companies, 60 corporate executives, and nearly 160 students participated. Each corporation received a resume book containing nearly 200 student resumes from sales-interested students. Attending companies included Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Red Diamond, Philip Morris, Wolseley, and Federated. The Opportunities Fair is an event designed to give corporations and students the chance to form fruitful alliances through morning topical breakout sessions and an afternoon career fair. The event culminated with a private tour of Jack Warner’s museum and a dinner with a live jazz band. This year’s event headed up by Dr. Lenita Davis was a great success thanks to the efforts of many people and organizations, and plans are already underway for next year.
