German Consul General to speak to International Advisory Board

Dr. Lutz Goergens, Consul General to the Southeast of the Federal Republic of Germany, will speak to the International Advisory Board at its annual meeting April 17 in Mobile.

Dr. Goergens, in accepting the invitation to speak, said, “The ThyssenKrupp groundbreaking last November was the dingle most significant business event during my tenure as German Consul to the Southeast so far, and it will be a pleasure to link that event to the big trends in transatlantic relations to such a distinguished audience.”

The hiring process has already started for professional positions at ThyssenKrupp Steel and Stainless USA\’s new $3.7 billion carbon and stainless steel processing facility in Mobile. Ground was broken on the 3,500-acre facility in November and is slated for completion in 2010. The company expects the plant to employ 2,700 people when fully operational.
