Football Season Special Edition

3:06 pm, August 15th, 2007

With less than three weeks until the start of the Alabama Crimson Tide’s football season under new coach Nick Saban, season we know all of you are excited about spending your upcoming Saturdays at Bryant-Denny.

This e-newsletter special edition will give you the resources you need to understand the changes taking place around campus and will provide some helpful reminders to make this season more enjoyable.

Driving and Parking on Campus

You have probably heard about the new transit system at The University of Alabama, The Crimson Ride, which will be available on game days to transport fans from parking areas to the stadium. There will be several roads closed (most starting 3 hours before the game) that will impact driving on campus. Below are links to campus maps for game day as well as information about the Crimson Ride. Please be familiar with the best way for you to enter and exit campus and, of course, try to get here early.

Parking Information

Do you have a guaranteed parking space in walking distance to the game?

The Commerce Executives Society has been able to purchase parking spaces directly behind (north) of Publix (across the street from Pepitos, Lai Lai and what was formerly “The Booth”). This is a one-time only offer and there are a few remaining spots available for purchase. For $175 you will receive a hang tag that will provide you access to this restricted parking area for all home football games for the 2007 season. If you are interested, please call or email Lindsey Blumenthal at 205-348-4899 or lblument@cba.ua.edu

Commerce Executives Society Pre-Game Events

If you are a Commerce Executives Society (CES) member, you should have already received your pre-game event invitation and response card. If you plan to attend our pre-game meals, please don’t forget to send back the response card! As usual, we will begin serving 3 hours prior to kick-off and will end 30 minutes before the start of the game. Last year we had great turn-out and a wonderful response from our members. We are looking forward to another great year.

Do you want to attend the pre-game meals but you are not a CES member? Why not join? For information on joining CES, please contact Lindsey Blumenthal at 205-348-4899 or email lblument@cba.ua.edu. If you are not a CES member, or if you want to bring more people than your complimentary admissions permit, you can do so for $12 per adult and $6 per child.

Everyone at the Culverhouse College of Commece hopes you have a safe, enjoyable game-day experience.

Roll Tide!
