Internship
Between your 1st and 2nd years of the program, you’ll have a summer internship. In the EC program, the difference is that you will have the guidance and support of a faculty mentor throughout the summer. You’ll be in touch with your faculty mentor every week, planning your project for the summer, working through problems, and identifying ways to exceed expectations while on the job.
You’ll have 3 round-table sessions with your colleagues and faculty, hosted by companies where MIS students are interning. You’ll talk with company executives and get an inside look at their businesses from an IS perspective. It’s also a time to share your summer with your colleagues and meet alumni in the area you’re visiting.
