Dung Chau is a Clinical Professor in the Management of Information Systems Program at The University of Alabama. His responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and MBA students in the business application of technology.
Mr. Chau joined the UA MIS program in 2007 to teach project management, eCommerce, data communications, networking and software development methodologies.
He has reached out to CIOs and business executives of Fortune 500 companies to partner with the UA MIS program for executive input on program curriculum, recruiting and student project sponsorship.
Mr. Chau has developed a three year student-driven research project to enable WiFi in the bordering Commercial Retail space around University boundaries to extend the academic environment into restaurants and shops. Currently, Dung is writing a research article on Public and Private Technology partnerships to benefit communities.

Mr. Chau has over 10 years consulting and entrepreneurial experience in global financial services, telecommunications and insurance industries. Mr. Chau currently serves as President of CGI, a regional technology and business process consultancy for community banks and property management companies.
Mr Chau started his career as a Consultant at Accenture with recognition as a subject matter expert on Operations Architecture for the firm worldwide. He moved on to become Chief Operating Officer of Strategic Metrics, Inc., a national marketing research consultancy.
Honors, Achievements, and Affiliations
An active supporter of community and education initiatives, Mr. Chau is a Board Member for Alabama Public Radio and serves on the Technology Council for the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce. He actively works on various rural broadband and economic development projects.
Mr. Chau can be found mentoring students on career paths, work life balances and sharing his passion for business use of technology to create sustainable competitive advantages.
