Teaching & Research Program

Several teaching and research programs also add to the doctoral students' experiences at The University of Alabama. We conduct a number of teaching seminars during the school year, focusing on topics of interest to students. We also match new student teachers with faculty mentors, who then work with the students on class preparation and critique them on classroom performance. This mentor is available to students as needed in their development as instructors. Finally, we regularly bring in top faculty from other institutions each year to conduct research workshops and to interact with our doctoral students.
