Investing in the College

Friends and alumni of the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration are a crucial part of our success in producing the business leaders of tomorrow. In addition to the financial support, alumni and friends also are an invaluable source of contacts, referrals, career advice, and information about career opportunities.

For example, there is Legacy Program which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and to date, 526 children of alumni have been signed on. The program is designed to encourage the children of alumni to consider the Culverhouse College of Commerce when choosing a college and to make The University of Alabama business school "their" school when it's time for them to make a decision about college. To do that, the Commerce Executives Society will keep in touch with them through their childhood years.

Then there is the Commerce Executives Society, which contributes $30,000 annually for scholarships, books and journals for the Bruno Library, better technology for the classrooms, and a variety of other needs.

The Faculty Enhancement Foundation is a group of generous contributors dedicated to make the Culverhouse faculty salary structure competitive with peer institutions, thereby helping retain our excellent faculty and recruit nationally prominent scholars.

You also can invest in the college – and the state and nation – by becoming part of the current capital campaign.
