INFORMS Student Chapter
The goal of University of Alabama INFORMS student chapter is to create an environment that fosters the exchange of ideas, methods, and techniques in Operations Research and Management Science. INFORMS student members have often the opportunity to hear guest speakers from industy and academia. Other valuable experience is gained from attending and presenting papers at conferences. Additionally, because of the informal setting, it provides new students an opportunity to ask questions about completing the program, other students' experiences, balancing family and school, etc.
