Master's of Management
Students qualify for a concentration by completing four courses in health care management. The following courses are all electives in the master's of management.

Issues in Health Care Management (Fall or Spring)
This course helps you to learn about the many controversial issues facing the healthcare industry and prepares you for analyzing the issues affecting health care institutions, including ambulatory, acute care, and long-term care facilities.
HCM 577
Advanced Ambulatory Care (Spring)
Examines the principles and concepts of ambulatory care in the health care sector, with an emphasis on understanding the business philosophy and practices of ambulatory organizations.
HCM 575
Advanced Managed Health Care (Summer)
Examines the principles and concepts of managed care for health organizations, from physician practices to hospitals and health care systems, with an emphasis on understanding the business philosophy and practices of managed care organizations.
HCM 576
Advanced Long Term Care (Fall)
Examines the basic and advanced concepts of long-term care organizations and management, with an emphasis on understanding the current delivery system and the unique challenges faced by practitioners on varying levels.
HCM 591
Independent Study (By arrangement)
Research-based course, that often leads to a published article, or an applied research project of value to a client organiztion.
