Internships

The health care management internship (HCM 492) is designed to provide health care management students an opportunity to gain practical experience in a health care-related setting. It is also a requirement for graduation.

In order to obtain maximum benefit from the internship experience, the intern should ensure that objectives be fulfilled under three broad areas, including the preceptor/intern relationship, observation/apprehension, and utilization. Through "real world" experience with an organization, the intern will obtain an enhanced understanding of health care issues and the industry as a whole. Specific information about the health care management internship can be accessed through the Internship Handbook link below.
