Honor Code and Academic Misconduct
Adopted June 26, 2006
Ethical behavior and personal integrity are essential attributes for students desiring employment in business organizations. All pre-business and business students are expected to adhere to the University’s Academic Honor Pledge and to demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and integrity. The Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration treats acts of academic misconduct seriously. Suspected acts of academic misconduct will be pursued in accordance with the University’s Academic Misconduct Disciplinary Policy. Prior findings of academic misconduct may result in a denial of a student’s request for transfer into the College from another division of the University or denial of a student’s application for admission to the College’s upper division. In addition to the penalties for academic misconduct provided for in the University’s Academic Misconduct Disciplinary Policy, a finding of academic misconduct by a business student may result in expulsion from the College’s upper division.
