International Economics

Students who take the specialization in International Economics will learn about all aspects of the international economy. This includes an understanding of why nations trade, why there is a presumption of a gains of trade, and the ways in which trade can affect the income distribution. Students will also learn about international aspects of the business cycle, and the determinants of exchange rates and the trade deficit. Finally, students will gain an understanding of issues facing businesses operating on world markets.
